MyLife

The MyLife project was one of my favorites. It was fun to learn about the year I was born. It was also entertaining to go back and look at pictures when I was little. It let me remember some of the good memories I had when I was little. I was able to look at the special and fun moments in my life in a six-minute movie. I also got to learn stuff about the year I was born; the president, who won the Oscars, top songs, fashion trends, how much things cost, and much more. I had a really good time doing this project.

Music Genome

The music genome project was an okay project. It wasn’t one of my favorites but it was still kind of fun. I love working in iMovie, though. With all these TEC projects we get to add our own stuff to them. They aren’t just filling out questions like most other subjects. We get to put our own touch to them. With the music genome project we got to pick our favorite genre of music and research it. With this project we can educate other people on the genre and maybe get them to like it too.

Extra Credit

For my extra credit project we had to make a music video. All the students got to pick a song and put pictures and lyrics to it to make their own music video. So far I think this is the most fun project we have had yet. I probably put too much effort into it for it just being extra credit. It was so much fun and I would do it again if we had to. Because we got to use our favorite songs and put pictures into gave us the chance to interpret the song for the way we thought it meant.

Podcast

The podcast was fairly easy I thought but I think that is because I have had to do them before in grade school. In eighth grade I hated them and was so glad when we had finally had finished them. I was thinking I will never have to do these again. But when I found out we had to do them for Tec I was not happy. When I started using GarageBand it was easy though. In grade school was used audacity. Using GarageBand was more fun and easier. I even got to add pictures to it. Adding music to it was a lot easier too.

Working with a Group

Having a group to work with for the storyboard project was really helpful. For storyboard, you need some creativity to make your slideshow. Using a group was a good was a good idea because you have more people to come up with creative ideas. When you have to do an assignment that involves a lot of creativity you should try to work with a group. In a group with more people you can come up with more ideas to put together to make a better project. When you’re in a group you can work together. You can do your project and work with friends.

iPhoto

Today we learned how to use iPhoto. Before I only used iPhoto to upload my pictures from my computer to my Facebook. I didn’t know you could make a slide show out of it. You can even use special effects and add music to make your slideshow better. I think this is a neat way to be able to put your pictures together and have them be entertaining for the people that want to look at them. It is a simple way and it’s fun to be able to add your own touches to your pictures. Using iPhoto is one of my favorite assignments we’ve had yet.

Mail Merge

In class today we learned how to merge a letter. What we did was make a business letter inviting people we knew to a charity event for a charity of our choice. We first had to make an excel spreadsheet of the names and addresses of the people we wanted to invite. Then we had to write a formal letter. In the letter we had to write about the charity and about the event we were holding. Once we got down the letter we had to learn how to merge the information from excel to the letter. At first learning how to merge was difficult and confusing but once I got the hang of it, it became easy and I now know how to use it for the future.
